Zentangle 101, The Basics
$35 (Includes the *Starter Kit valued at $10)

Learn the philosophy behind the process, understand the steps to creating this beautiful art and create 2 complete tiles of your own to take with you.

*Starter Kit is yours to keep! Includes all the materials for this class and more - Zentangle Tiles, Micron Pigma 01 Black pen, pencil, sharpener, blending stump, manilla tags, a small blank card and envelope plus handouts.

Zentangle 201, Beyond the Basics

MORE! MORE! MORE! Tangles, shading, fun & ideas. (You must have completed ZT101 The Basics to take this class.)

Bring your Starter Kit from the first class and  a small sketchbook (5.5” x 8.5” or smaller) to record your new Tangle Vocabulary. We also have some sketchbooks available at the studio for purchase.

PLEASE NOTE: The ZenDen is a NOT HANDICAP Acccessible! If you would like to take a class in another location please contact us! We would be happy to work with you to make this happen!

Zentangle at Shore Cultural Centre

Small Studio in Westlake is hosting the "Zentangle Inspired Contemporary Illuminated Letter" classes. This will be the only time it will be offered until next Spring.
New class at the Cleveland Institute of Art "Zentangle Inspired Art Journal". This is an 8 week course that allows us to combine ZT with Mixed Media in your own personal Altered Book/Journal. AND there is a Condensed Version at CIA BASIC on October 19th!

It's Raining Art in Cleveland!

We were busy over the summer! And that's a good thing! If you haven't seen this article from the Cleveland Plain Dealer you should. The rain barrel auction ends this month! I'm not a photographer so please view the pictures on the CSWCD Facebook page .

I'm not the only artist that contributed to the creation of the "Inspired" rain barrel. Special Thanks to Roni Yaxley, Vicki Ryan and Joanne Dottore from the Creative Creations "Studio Z" gang. Also thanks to my BFF Lisa (a.k.a. Ethel).

It's A Beautiful Thing

To have friends! One of the many benefits is having common interests and the ability to collaborate. 

The April 2011 B.A.S.I.C. Workshop at CIA was a blast! The program is offered three times per year for educators to earn their CEUs. Please contact the Continuing Education Department at CIA to find out more get on the mailing list.

Studio "Z"

What is it? In our case, Studio "Z" is a 2 hour Zentangle session at Creative Creations Papercrafts. It's an opportunity to learn a more patterns for your "tangle vocabulary" and share inspiration with fellow tanglers. You can also pick my brain for any other Zentangle tidbits that are lurking in the corners!

First we learn a couple of tangles then you have your choice of either working on a project of your own or a project that we supply. To date we have tangled many things. Among those are artificial pumpkins, glass and ceramics, rocks and tag necklaces. If you have a request be sure to email me ahead of time so we can put a plan into action.

Bring your sketchbook, pens and anything you would like to share. We try to post a supply list on the CCP Class Calendar as well as the Two to Tangle Calendar. We also post any additional supply fees but so far, we haven't had any! However, should you need them, the store is stocked with items for your convenience. The cost of the class is $10.

Here are a few photos from last nights class (my photography skills are sorely lacking so please bear with me!). We learned two tangles - Ixorus and Fife. Our theme was Black on White or White on Black ATCs. Thanks to Darlene, Cheryl and Cathy for sharing their beautiful Zentangle ATCs. And thanks to Rochelle for her support. I could not offer these classes without CCP!
