Hello!
The days are shortening and getting cooler. Eventually, we're going to be spending more time inside than out. And with that, boredom and listlessness often creep in.
But, that can be avoided, by learning the cool art of Zentangle. Anyone of any age can do it. All that is needed is a mind that is open to learning something new.
What's a Zentangle? Just google the word..... you'll see!
In short time, you will be making seemingly intricate patterns, that in fact, are ever so simple. My friend and workshop partner, Launie McDevitt, will deconstruct designs and show you how to redraw them, one line at a time.
Soon, you'll be making bookmarks, or drawing on tennis shoes or tote bags, or creating notecards to be used as gifts, etc. The possibilities are endless. No doubt, you'll think up some of your own!
To get your creative juices flowing, I will lead you through some gentle stretches to open those energy channels. Then, Launie will instruct in Zentangle. The program will end with my playing the Himalayan singing bowls. (For this, it's nice to lie on the floor, so that the vibrations can wash over you - so, bring a blanket. But, sitting in a chair is fine, too.)
This 3 hr. workshop happens on Sunday, Oct. 9th from 1 - 4 PM at Rivers Edge 3430 Rocky River Dr. Cleve. 44111 216/688-1111
The workshop fee is $30.00, which is paid to Rivers Edge. This must be paid in advance. The supply fee of $10.00 is paid directly to Launie McDevitt on the day of the workshop. Here's the link for registering online: https://www.thedatabank.com/dpg/351/personal2.asp?formid=meet&c=813494
